No, one should not shift to second gear immediately after starting the car. It is important to start in first gear and gradually build up speed before shifting to second gear. Shifting to second gear too soon can cause the engine to lug and put unnecessary strain on the transmission. It is important to follow the recommended shifting pattern in the car's manual to ensure smooth and efficient driving. **

Accidentally shifting from 5th gear to 1st gear can cause damage to the car, but whether the car is immediately broken depends on various factors such as the speed of the car, the type of transmission, and the specific make and model of the car. In most modern cars, the transmission is designed to prevent shifting directly from 5th gear to 1st gear, so it may not be possible to do so without causing damage. However, if it does happen, it could cause the engine to stall, damage the transmission, or cause the car to lurch forward unexpectedly. It's best to consult a mechanic if this happens to assess any potential damage. **

The phrase "job starts immediately" typically means that the employer is looking for someone who can begin working as soon as possible, often within a few days or weeks. However, the actual start date may depend on various factors such as completing necessary paperwork, background checks, or any other pre-employment requirements. It's always best to clarify the specific start date and any potential onboarding processes with the employer before assuming the job will start immediately. **

eBay is not immediately outbid. When a bid is placed on eBay, it becomes the current highest bid until another bidder places a higher bid. The bidding process continues until the auction ends, at which point the highest bid wins the item. Therefore, eBay is not immediately outbid, but rather the bidding process is ongoing until the auction closes. **

Paralysis does not always occur immediately. It can be caused by various factors such as trauma, injury, or medical conditions like stroke or spinal cord damage. The onset of paralysis can be sudden in some cases, such as with a spinal cord injury, but in other cases, it may develop gradually over time. It is important to seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms of paralysis to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment. **

Paraplegia can occur immediately in cases of traumatic injury to the spinal cord, such as from a car accident or a fall. However, it can also develop gradually over time due to conditions such as spinal tumors, infections, or degenerative diseases. The onset of paraplegia depends on the underlying cause and the extent of damage to the spinal cord. **
